Prague
It is difficult to know where to start when talking about
Prague - quite simply it is a breathtakingly beautiful city.
City of 100 Spires
Known as the "city of spires" it is
like something from an old fairy tale, with castles, churches, towers and clocks,
all rising majestically into the sky line.
On her western bank, Prague is dominated by Prague castle and the cathedral
of St. Vitus (on which construction started in the 1100s), while on her eastern
side you will find the Old Town Square and the beautiful astronomical clock.
Connecting both banks is Charles Bridge (Karluv Most), one of the most iconic
bridges in the world. It was built in the 1300s by the Bohemian King, and
Holy Roman Emperor, Charles IV, who also founded the university (which bears
his
name) and the majestic Karlstejn Castle.
